November 23, 2020 @ 1:30 pm - 3:00 pm
Todos gentilmente convidados para o 25o SEMINÁRIO DE CONTROLE LADES-GIMSCOP

Abstract: This lecture will be about the data and model treatment and analysis necessary to develop a useful model for real-life industrial processes. We will cover 2 case studies: soft sensors design for quality assurance and fault detection modeling for a dry gas seal system. We will approach issues of data cleaning, feature selection, model behavior, and requirements. We hope to help future engineers to be more successful in the development of their approaches to data-based process improvement.
Minibio: Felipo Soares graduated in Chemical Engineering (EQ/UFRJ) and his master’s degree in Chemical and biqchemical processes (PEQ/COPPE/UFRJ). He is currently a doctorate student in PEQ/COPPE/UFRJ at Advanced Process Simulation Lab (LASAP), where he has been studying data science applied to process technlogy. He has recently returned from an exchange at NTNU where he researched ML applications to process optimization.
